Silesian 700 in Genoa: When Polish Design Meets Italian Elegance
A Journey From Dream to Reality on the International Stage
Once again, I’m writing with some delay, but I really want to share how I spent my time at the Genoa Boat Show this September 2025 – and it’s a story that’s so much more than just a yacht on display!
First and foremost, a huge thank you to the organizers for the invitation and for hosting me at this show for the second year in a row!

Why Genoa Matters
I have the feeling that until now, this boat show has been somewhat underappreciated by Polish entrepreneurs – or perhaps not so much underappreciated as forgotten or simply unknown. However, this year that changed thanks to the Polish Chamber of Commerce, which organized an exhibition for Polish entrepreneurs, allowing us to showcase our Polish Design and Polish yachts on this prestigious international stage.
In Genoa, we can see many international brands – top manufacturers who come to this show that takes place between Cannes Yachting Festival and Monaco Yacht Show. This is also a show that displays the quintessence of Italian design, which undeniably continues to captivate. Let’s be honest – Italians are really good at design!
But what delighted me and many visitors was the fact that Polish brands appeared – and they didn’t fall behind the Italian ones at all! In fact, I dare say that some stood out among the rest. And not that this is my “unbiased” opinion, but one of those vessels was precisely the Silesian 700!
Of course, I’m joking about the objective opinion – obviously it’s not objective! But the fact is that it was clearly visible that Silesian was catching the eye.
And what’s most important for our design studio Intuition Yachts? Among those yachts was our project – the Silesian 700 from Silesian Yachts. This is the story of how that yacht came to be.

The Beginning: When Vision Meets Reality
I remember like it was yesterday – those numerous meetings with Pan Grzegorz and Pani Renata from Silesian Yachts. We would sit together, discussing every detail of the project, working through iteration after iteration on the 3D model. Each meeting brought us closer to the perfect balance we were searching for.
Pan Grzegorz came to us with a clear vision: he wanted to create a boat with exceptional character, one that would combine the beauty of classic construction with the latest technological solutions. As his father used to say, “If you want to cross the river, build a boat.” This simple but profound philosophy became the foundation of our collaboration.

The Design Process: Where Details Matter
The design phase was both challenging and exhilarating. We weren’t just creating another 7-meter motor yacht – we were crafting a vessel that would embody timeless elegance while meeting all the demands of modern boating.
Technical Excellence
The Silesian 700 is a Category C vessel, designed for variable weather conditions with wind up to 6 degrees on the Beaufort scale and significant wave height up to 2 meters. But beyond these technical specifications, we focused on creating spaces that would truly enhance the boating experience.
The layout evolved organically through our discussions:
- Forward cabin with convertible sleeping area for overnight stays
- Central cockpit with L-shaped seating and folding table – the heart of the boat where crew spends most of their time
- Aft sunbed with swimming platform providing easy water access
Every element was carefully considered to maximize comfort for 6 people during day cruising, with provisions for 2 people to spend the night aboard comfortably.

The Construction Phase: Problem-Solving and Partnership
Then came the phone calls during construction – you know, those inevitable challenges that come with building a prototype. Each obstacle required creative problem-solving, quick thinking, and constant communication.
Pan Grzegorz proved himself to be not just a visionary but an incredible engineer. The way he solved every challenge we encountered, the efficiency with which he tackled problems, and above all, his dedication to building this yacht with the highest quality with his own hands alongside his amazing team – it was truly inspiring to witness.
The Art of Color: Conversations That Shaped Style
But some of my favorite memories are the wonderful conversations with Pani Renata about colors and finishes. These weren’t quick decisions – we spent hours, sometimes entire phone calls, selecting the perfect palette.
Our goal was clear: preserve the elegance, class, and style of a yacht that references the retro aesthetic of the past century while remaining thoroughly modern and contemporary. Every shade, every finish, every material choice had to contribute to this delicate balance.
Pani Renata’s enormous dedication to making sure this yacht presented itself in the best possible way was remarkable. Her eye for detail and unwavering commitment to excellence elevated the entire project.
And you know what? All those hours of discussion, all those careful choices, all that dedication – it paid off beautifully. That’s exactly why the Silesian 700 fit so perfectly into the Italian style aesthetic and looked so stunning at this Italian boat show!

The International Stage: Polish Pride in Italian Waters
At the Genoa Boat Show, positioned in the heart of Italian design excellence and surrounded by top international manufacturers, the Silesian 700 held its own and then some.
Visitors appreciated the clean lines, the thoughtful details, the perfect blend of tradition and innovation. Watching people discover and admire what we had created together was incredibly rewarding. The yacht was clearly catching eyes, and it demonstrated beautifully that Polish design and craftsmanship can compete – and stand out – on the world stage.
This moment felt particularly significant because it represented a shift. Polish yachts weren’t just present at Genoa; they were making a statement. The Polish Chamber of Commerce’s initiative to organize this exhibition opened doors for Polish entrepreneurs to showcase their work alongside established international brands, and the results spoke for themselves.

More Than a Yacht: A Testament to Collaboration
This project taught me something profound about yacht design: the best results come from true collaboration.
Yes, I brought my design expertise and vision. But this yacht wouldn’t exist without:
- Pan Grzegorz’s engineering brilliance and problem-solving skills
- Pani Renata’s dedication to perfection and eye for aesthetic detail
- The entire Silesian Yachts team’s craftsmanship and commitment to quality
When passion, vision, and craftsmanship come together with mutual respect and open communication, something special happens. You create not just a functional vessel, but a yacht that tells a story, that embodies a philosophy, that represents the best of what’s possible when people work together toward a shared dream.

The Joy of Seeing Dreams Realized
This is why I’m so happy in all the photos from Genoa. It’s not just professional pride (though there’s plenty of that). It’s the deep satisfaction of seeing what we created together on the international stage, representing Poland in the heart of Italian design excellence.
From those first 3D model iterations to watching visitors at an Italian boat show admire the finished yacht – the journey has been extraordinary. Every challenge overcome, every detail perfected, every phone call spent discussing colors and solutions – it all led to this moment.

What Makes Silesian 700 Special
Let me summarize what makes this yacht stand out:

Looking Forward
The Silesian 700 at Genoa represents more than one successful project. It demonstrates what’s possible when Polish design and craftsmanship step onto the international stage with confidence.
It proves that with the right combination of vision, dedication, and collaboration, we can create yachts that not only compete with but stand out among the best in the world – even in Italy, the heartland of design excellence.
And most importantly, it reminds me why I love what I do. Being part of bringing someone’s dream to life, solving design challenges, perfecting every detail, and then seeing the final result appreciated by an international audience – there’s nothing quite like it.
