SUGOB Electric Yacht – General Layout

On the main deck of the yacht, there is a space with a sofa and a table. A canopy allows for outdoor enjoyment in various weather conditions. The entrance to the main deck is amidships. Below deck, the yacht features two double cabins, a galley, and a bathroom.

Galley

The galley of the yacht comprises two areas: a kitchenette and a table with designated seating areas. These zones serve both as living space and dining areas.

The kitchenette includes:

  • Electric stove,
  • Refrigerator,
  • Sink,
  • Cooking utensils, providing the crew with the ability to prepare meals independently.

The table with designated seating areas serves as the central point of the galley space. It functions as both a dining area and a space for social gatherings and relaxation.

Cabin 1

Cabin 1 is located at the bow and is separated from the galley by a partition with sliding doors. It is designed for two people and equipped with a double bed. Above the bed, there are shelves, and below it, there are storage compartments on both sides, along with a wardrobe for clothes in the bow section of the cabin, providing sufficient space for personal belongings.

To ensure adequate lighting, the cabin will be equipped with reading lamps and ceiling lighting. The cabin features windows that allow for enjoying beautiful views.

Cabin 2

Cabin 2 is located beneath the cockpit. The entrance to it is located next to the hatch. It is equipped with a double bed. Despite its low height, it allows for overnight accommodation for an additional two people, which is rare in yachts of this size.

Propulsion System

The electric yacht will be equipped with an electric propulsion system with a 16 kW motor, along with an appropriate energy bank and a package of photovoltaic panels.

Range and Autonomy

The electric yacht’s cruising range is compliant with Design Category D, suitable for voyages on sheltered waters, small lakes, canals, and rivers, where weather conditions can include winds up to 4 Beaufort scale and significant wave heights up to 0.3 meters. Under cruising speed, estimated at about 5 knots, the yacht will be able to sail for approximately 5 hours.

At maximum speed, estimated at 10 knots, the sailing time will be shorter, about 1.5 hours. However, the actual cruising range depends on many factors such as load, weather conditions, river currents, and other external factors. Estimates regarding sailing time are approximate and may vary depending on specific water conditions. They will also depend on the selected engine power and battery bank capacity. With an assumed engine power of 16 kW, the maximum speed can reach approximately 10 knots (18.5 km/h).
